Sign-up Your Business to the Forest Friendly 500

Businesses, large and small, as customers and potential customers of Kimberly-Clark, can be a loud voice calling for the protection of ancient forests. Businesses can be from very diverse sectors from restaurants and fitness studios, from motels to coffeeshops from department stores to law firms to colleges and grocery stores.

If you are the owner or manager of a business you can sign your business up to take the pledge not to use Kimberly-Clark tissue products. The purpose of the pledge is to let Kimberly-Clark know that it is not only individuals and families from around the world who are concerned about threats to ancient forests, but that businesses, both large and small, are also concerned about forest destruction and want to help protect these forests.

You do not have to currently being using Kimberly-Clark tissue products to take the pledge. Forest products companies like Kimberly-Clark are concerned about the loss of both current and potential future customers.

To take the pledge, please follow these steps:

1. Get a User ID for the FF500 website
Visit to get a user ID. Your password to login will be emailed to you. Check your email.

2. Log into the FF500 website
Once you have an ID and password, log into the Forest Friendly 500 website, and enter your businesses contact information in the online form or by clicking on the "Create Content" link in the right sidebar. Your information will show up in the database after being moderated and approved by Greenpeace.

3. Consider sending a letter of concern to Kimberly-Clark
In addition to taking the pledge, please consider sending a letter of concern to Kimberly-Clark. This will increase the pressure on the company to stop destroying ancient forests. Click here for a sample letter that you can modify. If you need a MS Word version click here.

4. Spread the word about the Forest Friendly 500
Help spread the word about the Forest Friendly 500 by approaching other businesses - and business associations.
